Meet Frank O’Neill, the founder and owner of Dayton Discount Furniture! This guy loves his business, his clients, and his community. Here is a recent interview with Frank:
Q: Why did you decide to open Dayton Discount Furniture?
A: It started because I saw an opportunity in the market place that was not being serviced correctly. Prices were higher than they should be due to old business models with high overhead expenses. So, I figured we could come at it with a different approach that would be more beneficial to the consumer by lowering prices and delivering better customer service
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do?
A: I can provide people with home furnishing at a lower price than a traditional store. I make the consumers dollar go further and can get them what they want and they don’t have to settle.
Q: Can you tell me a little more about your life outside of the store?
A: I am a native Daytonian, grew up in Centerville, graduated from OSU, and currently live in Fairborn. I have a rescue dog named Hank Williams and a rescue cat named Daisy. When I have free time, I like to be outdoors and travel.
Q: How do you get involved in the community?
A: I am the Vice President of my BNI group and have won networker of the year. I also help out a nonprofit called Breast Wishes. Breast Wishes grant wishes to woman that have or had breast cancer. I also give out mattresses when they are needed as well when working with ARTIMIS domestic violence center. ARTIMIS is a nonprofit that helps relocate women and children secretly that has domestic violence at their current home life.
