Cancelations & Return Policy

 

At Dayton Discount Furniture, we want every piece you purchase to feel like the perfect match for your home. If it’s not quite right, we’ll help you get it sorted quickly and easily.

✅ Return Window

You may return most items for a refund or exchange within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • In original condition

  • Returned in original packaging

  • Subject to a 20% restocking fee

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

❌ Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Personalized items

  • Items marked as “Non-Returnable” on the product page

  • Items that have been assembled

Exception: If your item arrives damaged or defective, these restrictions do not apply. We’ll make it right.

📦 Damaged or Missing Parts

We take great care in packaging and product selection to reduce shipping damage. However, if your item arrives damaged or with missing parts, please:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

We will provide replacement parts or service at no extra charge.

📬 Standard Shipping Items

  • Damaged upon arrival? Contact us within 24 hours.

  • For other return requests, contact us within 30 days of delivery.

  • Items returned after 30 days may be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.

  • Must be returned in original packaging.

  • 20% restocking fee applies.

🏠 In-Home Delivery Items (Ordered Online)

  • You have 72 hours after delivery to report issues or request a return.

  • Call the number on your order confirmation email.

  • After 72 hours, manufacturing defects may be covered under warranty.

📌 Return Requirements

To qualify for a refund or exchange:

  • Items must be in new, unused condition

  • Include all accessories

  • Must be returned in original packaging
    (If packaging was removed during In-Home Delivery, re-pack to avoid damage)

Clearance items are final sale, unless delivered damaged.

🛏 Mattresses & Foundations

  • May only be returned if delivered damaged or later found defective

  • Damaged? Contact us within 72 hours

  • Issues after 72 hours may be handled under manufacturer’s warranty

💳 Refunds & Exchanges

  • Refunds/credits are issued once item is received and inspected

  • Shipping, delivery, credit card processing, and handling fees are non-refundable

  • Return shipping or pickup fees may apply

  • Refunds are applied to the original payment method

  • Please allow 7–10 business days for your refund to process

🛑 Canceling an Order

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours—before items are scheduled to ship to our store

  • Call 937-668-5111 to cancel

Once an item is scheduled to ship, it cannot be canceled

If you miss the cancellation window:

  • You can still set up a return/exchange ahead of time

  • Once it arrives, return shipping & restocking fees may apply

  • Restocking fees are waived only if you exchange for an item of equal or greater value

  • Store credit is not available

  • If you refuse delivery, your return is still subject to this policy

🛍️ In-Store Purchase Policy

Thank you for shopping at Dayton Discount Furniture. Please review our in-store purchase terms carefully, as policies differ from online orders.

🚫 All Sales Final

For purchases made in-store, all sales are final and non-refundable once merchandise has been ordered. Since items ordered from our showroom cannot be returned to the manufacturer, we cannot cancel sales or offer refunds after the order is placed.

  • Express/Next Day Delivery orders are not eligible for cancellation or refund.

  • A full refund is only available if the sale is canceled within 24 hours of purchase and before delivery has been scheduled.

  • If you cancel after 24 hours but before delivery, only 80% of the purchase price will be refunded.

⏳ Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)

When ordering an item that is not currently in stock, we will place the order directly with the manufacturer and provide you with an estimated time of arrival (ETA).

  • ETAs are estimates only, based on the information provided by the manufacturer.

  • We cannot guarantee specific arrival dates.

  • Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including manufacturing, shipping, and supply chain issues.

  • ETAs are based on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding weekends and holidays).

  • If you selected delivery, your ETA does not include the time it takes to deliver to your home.

  • If you selected pickup, we will contact you promptly once your item has arrived.

Please note: It is not necessary to contact us for ETA updates — we will reach out to you as soon as your item is available.

📏 Measurement Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that purchased items fit through doorways, hallways, staircases, and into the intended room.

  • If an item does not fit at the time of delivery, it may be returned in original packaging for a 20% restocking fee.

  • All applicable delivery fees (past and future) will still apply.

  • The restocking fee will be waived only if you choose to exchange for an item of equal or greater value.

  • Store credit is not available.

🚚 Delivery Refusals

If you choose to refuse delivery after shipping, your purchase will be subject to the same terms outlined in this policy, including any applicable restocking fees and non-refundable delivery charges.
