Motion Sofa

Kick back in comfort with reclining motion sofas, or couches, from Dayton Discount Furniture in Fairborn, OH. Our manual reclining sofas feature easy-to-use lever or pull-tab mechanisms that let you recline without batteries or power cords — just pull and relax. Reclining sofas are perfect for family rooms, media rooms, and anywhere comfort comes first. Available in leather, fabric, and performance material upholstery with styles from classic to contemporary. Many of our reclining couches feature dual recline, meaning both ends of the sofa recline independently, so two people can relax in their own preferred positions at the same time. If you're looking for a sofa that does more than just seating, a reclining motion sofa is one of the most popular upgrades for everyday comfort. Visit our furniture showroom in Fairborn to test the recline in person — it's the best way to find the right feel. Shop in store or online with delivery and flexible financing available. Financing options available.

Motion Sofa — Frequently Asked Questions

What does "motion" mean on this furniture?

Motion furniture reclines or adjusts so you can kick back and put your feet up. Manual models use a pull handle or a simple push-back motion to recline, giving you that comfort without needing to sit near a power outlet.

How do I choose the right motion sofa?

Measure your space first — reclining pieces in particular need clearance to open fully, so leave several inches in front (and, for some styles, behind the seat) before you buy. Then think about who will use it and how often, and pick a material suited to your household. If you'd like help matching a piece to your room, just contact us.

What motion sofa brands do you carry?

Our Motion Sofa selection includes Ashley Furniture, so you can compare feel, style, and features across trusted names.

Do you deliver motion sofa items?

Yes. We deliver throughout our local service area and, in most cases, will place the piece in the room you choose. See our shipping & delivery policy for timelines, or contact us for a quote.

Can I finance a motion sofa?

Yes. We offer financing options on qualifying purchases, often with promotional low- or no-interest plans.

What about warranty and damage?

Most pieces carry the manufacturer's warranty against defects — and for power items, that typically covers the motor and reclining mechanism too. Inspect your order at delivery and contact us with any issues; see our return policy for how claims and returns are handled.
